A joint project has supposedly been in the works between Travis Scott and Migosrapper Quavo for some time now. Both count themselves among the very best rappers working today, with successful solo work to go along with several high-profile collaborations that dropped earlier this year. However, despite teasing a brief snippet of one of those unreleased tracks, neither rapper has revealed much about the project, which only adds to the anticipation level surrounding this still-gestating LP. Now, based a social media update from Scott last night (November 13th), the album looks to be getting close to the finish line and could potentially reach the masses before the end of the year.

Travis tweeted out a picture from a recent studio session yesterday, captioning it simply with the following: “mix mix mix.” With the words “Jack” and “Huncho” written on top of some white tape, designating which channels each artists vocals were coming out of on the board, this photo would lead you to believe that the duo are in the midst of putting the finishing touches on their new record. There is still no release date being forecast by either of the rappers or the label that is dealing with the roll out, but traditionally when a long-form release gets into the mixing stage, it means that the lion’s share of the work is already done. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that their music will be made available to the public at some point in the near future.

It hasn’t been all roses for Quavo and the rest of the Migos as far as the music tabloids are concerned, however. In events that were also made public last night, XXXTentacion claims that the rap trio jumped him. “I got jumped in L.A. by some pussy ass n***** and they jumped me,” he said. “F**k the Migos, straight up… Y’all n**** had the chance to kill me. How you have fire and ain’t shoot me after all the s**t I been talkin? How the f**k you ain’t shoot me. Yall n**** pussy as f**k,”
