Lil Yachty is coming off a mixed-review debut album in Teenage Emotions last year. In fact, many people thought the ATL rapper’s debut underperformed by its first week numbers & cultural impact, which Yachty even addressed shortly after its release. “I understand first week numbers didn’t do what most people expected but that’s only because they don’t understand me,” he said. “They don’t understand us. I don’t expect anybody to. I make it for those who listen. I feel like my brand is so big and blew up so big, it blew up bigger than my actual music. Which isn’t the worst situation it could be worse all I have to is make it to where my brand hype and music hype equal out.”

Now looking to bounce back & revive his music career into the trajectory it once had, Yachty decides to come through today and share the sequel to his breakout tape Lil Boat.

“It’s the complete opposite of Teenage Emotions. This is like turn up [strip club] shit. Still club, mosh pit festival, young youth push each other shit. This is what that is,” Yachty says. “My last album was all singy/ melodic, I just put a pause on it. This is turnt up, amped up. This is straight for the kids, straight for the youth,” he added.

Containing 17 songs in total, the follow up to his debut album Teenage Emotionsfeatures guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Quavo, PnB Rock, Tee Grizzley, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Pump, Trippie Redd, and two features from Offset. Meanwhile production is handled mostly by 30 Rock, with Pierre Bourne, Digital Nas, Charlie Shuffler, DY Of 808 Mafia, and more assisting on the boards.

Available now on iTunes, fans can stream the project in its entirety via Apple Music. Hit play and let us know what you think.
