When you’re talking about the most featured man in America, Quavo’s name will almost certainly come up.
Whether it’s a chart-topping summer hit with DJ Khaled or a groove-laden piece of business from DJ/producer A-Trak, the most visible member of the Migos has certainly made a name for himself as a rap artist who has been upping his feature count in a big way. But, what if he were one of the voices on a song that basically everyone in the United States knew the words to? Well, a new online petition wants to make that notion a reality.
Via Change.org, a man named Sean Grey wants to see Quavo get a feature on the US national anthem. With lyrics written in 1814 and adopted as the country’s official anthem in 1931, it’s a piece of music that’s been around a long time without undergoing any major changes. That could change, if Grey had his way. “It’s , and I think the nation should get with the times and feature Quavo on the National Anthem,” he said. “He’s a feature on everything else, so why not?”
Most amazing of all is that the petition, at the time of this writing, was nearly at its target of 1,000 supporters. Addressed to Donald Trump and other members of his administration, having Quavo be part of America’s most cherished piece of music would be, in the words of the President, HUGE.
